Google officially launched Meet in March 2017 after first releasing an iOS app in secret and making it invite-only in February. Marketed as a more business-friendly version of Hangouts, the service started as a video conferencing app with a maximum capacity of 30 participants. It was made accessible via desktop, Android, and iOS apps.
What is Google Meet?
Thanks to technology that keeps us connected when we’re alone we remain engaged and secure. Whether we’re working with friends, communicating with doctors, interacting with family, or studying at home, we’ve seen in recent months how video meetings may help us become closer. Google Meet Free Download is an application for video calls.
It is suitable for companies of all sizes and is a commercial version of Google Hangouts. Up to thirty people are able to participate in video calls with Google Meet, and video looks clear in the high definition. You can attend meetings that are already planned on your calendar using the app. If the invitation includes a phone number, you can call in from your phone, click on a link, or enter a meeting code.
Google Meet shows a list of meeting information and participants and is connected with Google Calendar and Gmail for Google’s G Suite customers. It allows you to mute the speaker or turn off your video if needed and it offers a “join” button for attending meetings. In order to help users with slow or missing internet, Google Meet also allows users to join meetings by calling in with a phone number. However, this phone dial-in feature is only available to G Suite business users.
Process To Join A Meeting:
You can participate in a Google Meet meeting in multiple ways. Using Google Meet, Gmail, or any other Google application on your computer, such as Docs You will see a notification if you received an invitation to a meeting. Simply select “Join meeting,” and your browser will automatically start the conference. When you receive the invitation, the same thing happens if you have the Google Meet app installed on your phone or tablet.
An email with a link and a meeting code will be sent to you if these applications are not open. The link or code may also be sent to you by the person who arranged the meeting via a different app, such as Messenger. To join a meeting on a computer, click the meeting link. Google Meet will open in your browser. You can join by clicking the link on a phone or tablet to start the Google Meet app.
